October 10th - January 25th, 2025 Hours: Friday-Sunday, 12-5pm 44 Troy St, Fall River, MA Free & Open to the Public Featuring work by: Alex Tum, Karyn Nakamura, Serena Chang, and Hanna Umin.Post Scarcity Sculpture at FR MoCA gathers four artists—Alex Tum, Karyn Nakamura, Serena Chang, and Hanna Umin—whose practices operate as Futique Agents, working in the field of Art with material residue and technological detritus in a post-prophetic tense. These objects function as future antiques, coded with fragments of war material, biological trace, and machinic residue, at once evidentiary and prophetic. Post Scarcity Sculpture frames these works as Futique Agents of a holistic informational shift, revealing how surplus, waste, and neural invention together constitute the emergent matter of social and aesthetic revolution. This exhibition has […]

October 10th - January 25th, 2025 Hours: Friday-Sunday, 12-5pm 44 Troy St, Fall River, MA Free & Open to the Public Featuring work by: Alex Tum, Karyn Nakamura, Serena Chang, and Hanna Umin.Post Scarcity Sculpture at FR MoCA gathers four artists—Alex Tum, Karyn Nakamura, Serena Chang, and Hanna Umin—whose practices operate as Futique Agents, working in the field of Art with material residue and technological detritus in a post-prophetic tense. Post Scarcity, the conceptual ground of the exhibition, names a politics that imagines an end to artificial scarcity enforced by capital, envisioning a condition where technological development and collective organization liberate human and non-human energies from cycles of deprivation. In this exhibition, sculpture is redefined through soldered brass, cast plaster, resin, foam, computational circuits, video systems, and found refuse. The show centers a biomechanical site where the synaptic future and the industrial past converge.

Friday, January 2, 2026 $35 Advance | $38 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm For over 40 years, the Funky White Honkies have been the areas top party band. They invade the Narrows for big dance party. The tables and chairs will be removed for a large dance floor and a good time will be had by all. Led by the fearlessly un-selfconscious and immensely talented Dinty Child, (perhaps best-known for being a member of Boston roots/rock masters Session Americana), the Funky White Honkies are a rag tag band of fine New England music veterans. More of a 'tribe' than a band, the Honkies have been around for years, providing a gorgeously joyous and free dance experience for people of every age, leanings, stripe, and style. With it's large, rotating band of expert players, and under the spontaneous direction of Dinty, the Honkies converge for one purpose only: to get down and get dirty, laying down a set of grooves that start loose, and build inexorably to nothing less than pure, transcendent jazz/funk/punk fueled cacaphony. On a typical Honkies night (or afternoon; they dig those beach party gigs) Horn players roam about New Orleans style, the washboard player grins under his […] |

Saturday, January 3, 2026 $30 Advance | $32 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm Calling all Deadheads!! For the past 40 years, The Pearly Baker Band has been playing Grateful Dead music their way, with some Stones, Beatles, Allman Bros, and JJ Cale thrown in for good measure. Whenever they play a party breaks out. Please join them for what promises to be a sweet and sweaty evening--Let there be songs to fill the air! Please note that the dance floor will be open for this performance. Pearly Baker Band just celebrated their 40th birthday in May and they are continuing our anniversary year celebration. “It’s improvisational music, which is very American, like the Dead, we use American folk-based, blues-based, rock-based music as a vehicle to play improvisational music. We never play a song the same way twice, and we like to take chances.”- Kenny Richards of Pearly Baker Band |
