We will knit hats, scarves, and mittens to be donated to homeless shelters or other charities. All yarn will be supplied. You can bring your own needles and patterns (we will have some extras around if you forget). It's a great way to make friends, share patterns and tips, and help people in the community stay warm this coming winter.

The Sheep & Wool Festival returns to Coggeshall Farm Museum on May 17, 2025! Learn about and see demonstrations of sheep shearing, wool processing, dyeing, weaving, and spinning. The City of Fall River in collaboration with Mass Audubon are excited to announce Wings on the Watuppa Reservation: Birdwatching in the Bioreserve. This is a free event on Saturday, May 24th, at the Watuppa Reservation at 2929 Blossom Road, Fall River, MA. The event will be hosted in four timed sessions:Session 1: 8AMSession 2: 9AMSession 3: 10AMSession 4: 11AM Registration is required and space is limited.Binoculars and educational materials will be provided to registered participants. John F. Aguiar 78, of Tiverton, RI passed away on May 9th. He was the husband of Marilyn (Drewniak) Aguiar. Born in Tiverton, RI, he was the son of the late Emily (Perry) and Antone G. Aguiar. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a Landscaper for Lawrence Medeiros Landscaping for over 50 years. He was a member of Holy Ghost parish. John was an avid NASCAR fan, coin collector and model car collector. He also enjoyed painting. In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter Sheila Schallenberg and 2 sons Kevin Aguiar (wife Cynthia) , Joshua Aguiar and was the father of the late John S. Aguiar. Grandchildren are Holly E. Mello, Miranda Aguiar, Kyle Aguiar, Madison Ponte-Aguiar, Olivia Aguiar and Bradley Aguiar. He also leaves a greatgrandson Ashton Aguiar. He was the youngest of 9 siblings. Pantry rules: No one is Allowed to line up anywhere on Weaver Street before 8 am, anyone found hiding in our neighborhood parking lots will be asked to leave and not return. Do you like to knit or crochet? Come join a group of fellow crafters in a good cause. On Thursday afternoons, we will meet in the Fell Room for a group yarn-crafting project. We will knit hats, scarves, and mittens to be donated to homeless shelters or other charities. All yarn will be supplied. You can bring your own needles and patterns (we will have some extras around if you forget). It's a great way to make friends, share patterns and tips, and help people in the community stay warm this coming winter.
