Local horror story writer Ricardo D. Rebelo will talk about his work in the recently published anthology, Monsters in the Mills: More Tales of Horror from the Ocean State as well as his new anthology Orphans: They were Brutal and Unwanted. Mr. Rebelo is a professor at Bristol Community college, filmmaker and popular podcaster. A question and answer session will be included after his presentation. Signed copies of his books will also be available for purchase through the Friends of the Fall River Public Library. Refreshments will be served.

Chris Herren, founder of Herren Project, struggled with substance use disorder for 14 years. He was a high school basketball star at Durfee but battled with drug and alcohol addiction from the time he was a teenager. He played college basketball at Fresno State and Boston College before joining the NBA and playing for the Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics. Since starting the Herren Project in 2011, Chris has gone on to become a national public speaker on the topic of substance use prevention, recovery, and wellness.
