Viva Fall River is community-based commerce, culture, and creative economy initiative that draws on the City’s unique and diverse assets to foster economic revitalization, support active community engagement, inspire a vibrant arts scene, and elevate the profile of the City as a premiere South Coast destination.

Our Vision

To help Fall River realize its full potential and craft a new narrative that uplifts the community and inspires innovation and collaboration.

VIVA BUSINESS

We make things happen! More specifically, we use the power of collaboration to address both pressing and long-term needs of the Fall River business community.

Our initiative is incubated by One SouthCoast and the One SouthCoast Chamber Foundation, and the catalyst for many of our efforts stems from resources and support received from MassDevelopment Transformative Development Initiative, or TDI, program. Viva Fall River is focused on Downtown revitalization efforts, aimed at promoting the area- and the City as a whole- as a premier South Coast destination.

• We support and promote the local small business community by providing access to resources and grants that can help them sustain and grow their business.

• We also work to enhance the economic diversity of the City, connecting emerging businesses and artisans from the region with physical retail space and support services to encourage them to open shop in Fall River.

• We create connections and foster a sense of community among those located in the District. We’re all in this together!

VIVA ARTS & CULTURE

Viva Fall River believes that supporting and advancing arts and culture is a key driver to future economic prosperity. Our vibrant and diverse community of artists and creatives are a valuable resource to our community. In partnership with the Fall River Arts & Culture Coalition, we work to connect creatives with collaborative opportunities and weave them into cross-sector initiatives that apply the skills and resources of the creative community to increase impact and engagement.

VIVA COMMUNITY

We also convene and participate in community partnerships that help connect us to residents and encourage productive engagement as well as a sense of pride in the place the call home.
