    Deathtrap
Little Theater Fire Barn 340 Prospect St, Fall River, Massachusetts

Deathtrap by Ira Levin presented by Little Theatre of Fall River through special arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Dramatists Play Service at the Firebarn from October 15-25.  Little Theatre of Fall River, the birthplace of theatre on the South Coast, proudly presents Deathtrap by Ira Levin opening at Little Theatre’s Firebarn. Deathtrap is the story of Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of Broadway thrillers who is struggling to overcome a string of recent failures and a shortage of funds. Bruhl appears comfortable in his charming Connecticut home, but everything changes when a student in his writing seminar sends him a new script – a thriller that Sidney recognizes immediately as a potential Broadway hit. Sidney sees an opportunity. With his wife’s help, he devises a plan to “collaborate” with the student, an idea which the younger man quickly accepts. Suspense mounts steadily as the plot begins to twist and turn with devilish cleverness that builds to a startling finale.  Director, David Faria shares that he “chose to direct Deathtrap because I wanted to challenge myself with a deft and complex play. Over the last few years I’ve come to be known as a director of silly, slapstick farces, […]

  • Dar Williams

Narrows Center for the Arts 16 Anawan St., Fall River, MA

Thursday, October 22, 2026 $49 Advance | $51 Day of show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm “It’s a highway, filled with deep, exotic colors and beautiful delicate things as well as the perils that come from moving so fast,” says Dar Williams, describing modern life. On her 13th album, Hummingbird Highway, out September 12 on Righteous Babe Records, Williams celebrates the colors she glimpses from her vantage as a touring musician. “I was a kid from the suburbs who listened when her hippie teachers said to get out in the world,” Williams muses. Hummingbird Highway is the latest chapter in a richly unfolding story. Drawing on her experience as a playwright, Williams populates her latest album with nuanced characters that come alive in the space of a few minutes. On the title track, Williams sings from the perspective of a child speaking to her peripatetic and sometimes struggling parent. Blooming columbines, china blue teapots, and cinnamon bark number among the “treasures” in her life, despite the “pirates” that she imagines populating her worldly parent’s life. “The pirates can be all sorts of things living inside and outside your head. The child, for better or worse, knows that there is joy, unpredictability, and instability on the […]
