    Step back in time with Stacy Booth of the 2nd Massachusetts Regiment and experience the sights, smells, and techniques of colonial‑era cooking. Join us at the historic Lafayette‑Durfee House for a hands‑on look at how meals were prepared over an open hearth in the 1700s. Visitors will see authentic tools, period ingredients, and traditional methods that brought families and communities together around the fire. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a foodie, or simply curious about daily life in the 18th century, this demonstration offers a warm and engaging afternoon.  Suggested Donation: $5Come enjoy a taste of the past and support the preservation of local history.   • Voices Unheard – Free Chamber Music Concert

    Voices Unheard is a classical chamber ensemble that is doing a free, grant funded concert season throughout Massachusetts. Voices Unheard is striving to celebrate and promote the different ways that women contribute to the musical world. This organization operates under three major pillars, music of women in history’s past, the music of today’s female composers, and cultivating a future for women’s music of the future. The project utilizes funding to commission works for the wind repertoire by promising upcoming women composers. Women historically have struggled to access the same resources as their male counterparts in this field, and this ensemble seeks to provide the resources that a young professional would need to get their foothold in the field of music composition.
