    Do you enjoy reading? Starting this May, the Fall River Public Library will be hosting a brand-new book club for children in grades 3-5! Come prepared to talk about a book you have read, what you liked and what you disliked!

    The Children’s Room invites our middle grade readers (ages 8-12) to join our monthly book club! On the third Tuesday of every month, we will meet to discuss the assigned title which will be chosen from a selection of popular fiction and nonfiction.  Copies of the assigned title will be provided for members to keep! Each month’s title and any related materials will be announced and distributed at the end of the previous session.

    Both returning and new members are invited to join us on the third Wednesday of each month for a different kind of book club--one with no required books to read! Instead, everyone can share their own recommendations of a book they're enjoyed recently as we meet for general book chat and afternoon tea. Light refreshments will be served.   • Coastal Canvas Garden Art

    Fall River Public Library 104 North Main St, Fall River, MA

    Join Stephanie Enloe of Craftyish Shop to create a one-of-a-kind plant artwork on canvas.  In this class, we will create our plant pots using seashells, sea glass and other natural materials.  Next, we will paint them into plants with watercolors and fine point markers.  Registration is required. Recommended for adults. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Fall River Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

  • Fantasy & Sci-Fi Book Club

    Science fiction and fantasy lovers are invited to join us for our monthly book discussion group! On the third Thursday of each month, we will meet at 6 pm to talk about a different sci-fi or fantasy book, ranging from new titles to classics.   • Open Draw for Teens

    Open Draw for Teens
    Fall River Public Library 104 North Main St, Fall River, MA

    Open Draw for Teens provides a space in the library every other Saturday for teens to draw and socialize with other creative peers! Every session we will have ample time to free draw, and occasionally will host workshops on paper crafts like making zines, flipbooks, pop-up comics, as well as assorted drawing exercises. Bring your sketchbooks, drawing pads, loose paper, old magazines, your favorite pens and pencils… whatever it is you use to draw! Some basic materials will also be available to use each session. For teens ages 13 - 18.
