The Children’s Room invites our middle grade readers (ages 8-12) to join our monthly book club! On the third Tuesday of every month, we will meet to discuss the assigned title which will be chosen from a selection of popular fiction and nonfiction. Copies of the assigned title will be provided for members to keep! Each month’s title and any related materials will be announced and distributed at the end of the previous session.

For over 20 years, Jeff Belanger has been exploring the unexplained. He seeks out history, folklore, ghosts, monsters, and legends all over the world and in your backyard. This multi-media program, based on his book Communicating With the Dead, explores the history of spirit communication from the Fox Sisters in the earliest days of the Spiritualist movement, to devices such as the Ouija Board and Dowsing Rods, and on to using electronic devices to try and communicate with the other side. You’ll explore the history, see the devices, see and hear the evidence, and maybe catch a glimpse of what’s beyond the grave. NOTE: Jeff is NOT a psychic medium.
