Artists Share! is a place to share your creative work, get support and feedback, and be part of a wonderful discussion. Hosted by Midori Creativity, we're all about cross-pollination welcoming painters, jewelry makers, fiber artists, photographers, musicians, scultptors and more. Our exhibit, Creative Catalysts, celebrates the interplay and creative exploration that happens when artists of different genres work together. Anyone is welcome and we take turns sharing. Sometimes we are looking at a body of work and other times we are talking about creative identity. The group meets every month, aiming to help each other progress and grow in our work by sharing and exploring together. It's a chance to learn from people whose work may be different from your own but who have insights you could never imagine. We laugh, share ideas, and have fun! Participants can also attend via Zoom. Learn more about the program at midoricreativity.com/artistsshare This program is supported in part by a grant from the New Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Thursday, May 14, 2026 $55 Advance | $57 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm The Narrows Center's 2,500th Show Amy Helm has quietly become one of the most treasured multi-generational live musicians and best kept secrets as a singer, songwriter, and performer. She's now touring her critically acclaimed album Silver City. The album draws inspiration from varied stories of womanhood in all of its complexities: a young fan struggling with substance abuse, a rural ancestor who was married off, a teen reeling from her first heartache, and Helm’s own life as a single mother and hard-touring singer. The songs blend the folk twang of Helm’s childhood with gospel and soul. Amy carries a storied “musician’s musician” reputation. The grammy-award winning producer and daughter of Levon Helm has an extensive musical pedigree. Amy embodies an authentic live musical tradition in her solo work and with the Helm Family Midnight Ramble, which carries on her father’s legacy.

Friday, May 15, 2026 $44 Advance | $46 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm For over a decade, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds have been hailed for their explosive brand of modern soul, celebrated equally for their five studio albums and electrifying live performances. Arleigh Rose Kincheloe grew up in an intensely musical family in upstate New York’s Catskill Mountains, co-founding Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds with her brother Jackson at just 18. The band made Brooklyn its homebase and soon earned a reputation as one of the hardest working outfits anywhere in the world. Playing upwards of 150 shows each year, the group sold out residencies, top festivals, and tours along top acts including Allen Stone, Trombone Shorty, JJ Grey, The Revivalists and Anders Osborne. “Sister Sparrow, Arleigh Kincheloe’s nom de disque, is a soul queen,” raved The Washington Post, while NPR noted, “one of the biggest voices in rock music.”
Saturday, May 16, 2026 $70 Advance | $73 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm Opener: Sway Wild Acclaimed singer, songwriter, and musician Marc Broussard is a unique performer who embodies the essence of American soul and has forged his own distinct musical style. The son of Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist Ted Broussard of "The Boogie Kings," he nurtured his musical gifts at an early age in the vibrant Lafayette, Louisiana, music scene. After releasing a highly successful independent EP at age 20, Broussard made his major-label debut with Carencro. The album featured the breakout hit "Home" and propelled him into the international spotlight. That album and the others that followed revealed Broussard as a Southern soul singer with a rarefied talent and an innate stylistic and emotional authenticity that has made him one of the most indelible artists of his generation. The Louisiana-born and raised artist has created a wide range of music in his career. Carencro laid the groundwork with unequaled style, illustrating his knack for modern soul music and setting the stage for his long and distinguished career. NPR cited, "His music radiates soulful Louisiana blues, but his songs blend those influences with raucous rock 'n' roll to create unique and infectious music." Washington […]
