Designed for kids aged 7 and up, our 10-week program brings professional illustrators and art educators together to inspire young artists. No matter the skill level, every child can explore their creativity and learn how to use industry-standard tools for drawing on iPads! Play a game of chess at the library! Chess players at all levels are invited to stop by on Saturday afternoons. Bring your own chess board and pieces, or we have some available at the desk.
Open Draw for Teens provides a space in the library every other Saturday for teens to draw and socialize with other creative peers! Every session we will have ample time to free draw, and occasionally will host workshops on paper crafts like making zines, flipbooks, pop-up comics, as well as assorted drawing exercises. Bring your sketchbooks, drawing pads, loose paper, old magazines, your favorite pens and pencils… whatever it is you use to draw! Some basic materials will also be available to use each session. For teens ages 13 - 18.
