About Viva

Viva Fall River embodies the vibrant spirit and community pride that defines this remarkable city. We are an active tourism organization that guides locals and newcomers alike to Fall River’s vivacious and diverse community. Viva Fall River champions economic growth and celebrates all the city has to offer: creative arts, rich ethnic and cultural traditions, diverse businesses, a picturesque waterfront, spirited events, and so much more.

The organization is a grant-funded, public-private partnership and is a fiscal sponsorship of the One SouthCoast Chamber Foundation, a non-for-profit entity.

The Viva Maker Shop is a flexible retail space curated to showcase uniquely talented local artisans and makers. In addition to highlighting local entrepreneurs, the shop serves as a resource for learning more about what’s happening in Fall River, including the assorted manufacturing that occurs within the city’s limits.

VIDEO: POESIA – A Celebration of Portuguese Poetry, Culture, and Fall River Poets, Saturday, April 27, 2024

On Saturday, April 27th, 2024, a celebration of Portuguese Poetry, Culture, and Fall River Poets called POESIA took place to honor the significant contributions made throughout history by the Portuguese to local, national, and international arts and culture. The event opened with a Poetry Walk, meeting at the Gates of Fall River and our Sister City Ponta Delgada, Portugal, and then continued at the Monument of Poet João Teixeira de Medeiros at Heritage State Park.
