Craft Your Own Ujimaa-Inspired Table Runner at Our Workshop! In the city of textiles join us for an interactive and festive experience as we celebrate the Kwanzaa principle of Ujimaa (collective work and responsibility). This workshop is more than just creating a beautiful table runner – it's a chance to come together, share love, laughter, and delightful food while embodying the spirit of unity and shared responsibility. Don't miss out on this joyous occasion of creativity and community building! Participants will learn sewing and embroidery techniques while creating their specially designed table runner. The event is free and open to the public. Children ages 6+ must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in hours between 10:00am and 2:00pm on Monday, December 29th, Tuesday December 30th, Friday, January 2nd, and Saturday, January 3rd. Our monthly Magic: the Gathering group meets on the last Wednesday of each month.* Come play a few games in the world's most popular trading card game! Participants are invited to bring their own decks or build their own with a selection of the hundreds of cards we have at the library. Don't know how to play? We'll be glad to show you how! This program is intended for teens ages 12 to 18. No prior experience with the game is required to participate. We'll be meeting in the Fell Reading Room in the library. *If the last Wednesday of the month falls on a holiday, the meetup will be rescheduled, probably to the week before.
