Get feedback on your work and meet local creatives at this Monthly Artists Share! group, facilitated by Midori Creativity. Artists Share! is a place to share your creative work, get support and feedback, and be part of a wonderful discussion. Hosted by Midori Creativity, we're all about cross-pollination welcoming painters, jewelry makers, fiber artists, photographers, musicians, scultptors and more. Our exhibit, Creative Catalysts, celebrates the interplay and creative exploration that happens when artists of different genres work together. Anyone is welcome and we take turns sharing. Sometimes we are looking at a body of work and other times we are talking about creative identity. The group meets every month, aiming to help each other progress and grow in our work by sharing and exploring together. It's a chance to learn from people whose work may be different from your own but who have insights you could never imagine. We laugh, share ideas, and have fun! Participants can also attend via Zoom. Learn more about the program at midoricreativity.com/artistsshare This program is supported in part by a grant from the New Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Thursday, April 1, 2027 $37 Advance | $40 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm In Lloyd, Kentucky, on U.S. 23, there’s a sign on the Country Music Highway dedicated to renowned fiddler Jason Carter. It was placed there because of his other accomplishments—the Grammy awards, the worldwide tours, and the many other accolades he’s earned through his music. But for Carter, joining the legendary names honored on that stretch of highway just might mean the most. "There's a certain sound that's up there that you just don't hear anywhere else," he says. "I think that played a big part in how I sound today." True to those Kentucky roots, Carter continues to pour all he has back into bluegrass. For thirty years, he has been the fiddle player for the Del McCoury Band—the most awarded group in bluegrass history. He’s won three Grammy awards, including 2018’s “Best Bluegrass Album” with the Travelin’ McCourys, of which he is a founding member. And he’s taken home five IBMAs for “Fiddle Player of the Year,” a staggering number that isn’t quite so crazy once you realize just how many bluegrass greats have turned to Carter for collaboration. As a fiddler, Carter has […]
Tuesday, April 6, 2027 $79 Advance | $84 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm Country songwriter Phil Vassar makes his Narrows Center debut with a full band performance celebrating the 25th anniversary of “Just Another Day In Paradise.” Known for his high-energy shows and piano-driven performances, he’s toured worldwide, performed for U.S. presidents, and shared the stage with legends like Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson — all while building a deep connection with fans who continue to sing along to his timeless catalog. Vassar grew up surrounded by music, from his father’s singing to his sisters’ Motown and West Coast harmonies, with Lynchburg’s gospel and bluegrass shaping his early sound. Influences like Bruce Hornsby, Billy Joel, Elton John, Lionel Richie, and rock icons such as Queen and Boston helped form his eclectic style. Though he began on guitar, he found his true voice at the piano, developing a signature blend of heartfelt storytelling and melodic hooks that crossed genres. Now celebrating the 25th anniversary of “Just Another Day in Paradise,” he’s on the road on his “25 Years of Paradise” tour, mixing hits with covers from musical heroes and refreshing his set nightly. A heart attack in 2023 reshaped his […]
Saturday, April 17, 2027 $52 Advance | $55 Day of show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm Greg Hawkes of The Cars brings the music of The Cars to the stage, backed by acclaimed Boston-based band Eddie Japan for a full-band celebration of one of rock’s most distinctive and enduring catalogs. As the keyboardist for the legendary Boston band and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Cars, Greg Hawkes helped forge one of the defining sounds of rock’s New Wave era. Pioneering and pushing the limits of technology and sequencing in the late ’70s and throughout the ’80s, Greg helped cement the synthesizer’s place in rock and pop music, influencing countless artists who followed. Along with achieving Rock & Roll Hall of Fame status and massive commercial success with The Cars, Greg has been a sought-after session and touring musician, working with artists including Paul McCartney, Todd Rundgren and The Turtles. In 2016, Greg collaborated with Boston-based band Eddie Japan on their 2017 album Golden Age. That collaboration eventually led Greg and the band to join forces onstage, performing a set list personally curated by Greg from The Cars’ remarkable catalog. Since 2019, Greg and Eddie Japan have been bringing this music to […]
