Join The Banned Book Club - a place where we devour literature that has been historically challenged throughout American history. Every 4th Thursday of the month we will discuss what lies beneath these pages and engage in conversation about the importance of the freedom of reading, which is essential to our democracy. During our first meeting we will be discussing 1984 by George Orwell. Pick up a copy at the circulation desk!

On April 25th at 7pm and April 26th at 1:30pm, Ballet Rhode Island makes its first-ever appearance at Bristol Community College, bringing the contemporary ballet program Pure Dance to the Margaret L. Designed for both first-time dancegoers and seasoned audiences, the program offers a dynamic journey through contemporary ballet that highlights the moving body as both instrument and storyteller. Set to gorgeous music and performed by Ballet RI’s professional artists, this unforgettable experience is just a short drive away, and an open invitation to come along for the ride. Following each performance, audiences are invited to stay for a Meet the Ballerina experience, offering a rare opportunity to connect directly with the artists, ask questions, and gain insight into the creative process behind the performance.
