Gallery X 169 William Street, New Bedford, MAGet feedback on your work and meet local creatives at this Monthly Artists Share! group, facilitated by Midori Creativity. Artists Share! is a place to share your creative work, get support and feedback, and be part of a wonderful discussion. Hosted by Midori Creativity, we're all about cross-pollination welcoming painters, jewelry makers, fiber artists, photographers, musicians, scultptors and more. Our exhibit, Creative Catalysts, celebrates the interplay and creative exploration that happens when artists of different genres work together. Anyone is welcome and we take turns sharing. Sometimes we are looking at a body of work and other times we are talking about creative identity. The group meets every month, aiming to help each other progress and grow in our work by sharing and exploring together. It's a chance to learn from people whose work may be different from your own but who have insights you could never imagine. We laugh, share ideas, and have fun! Participants can also attend via Zoom. YA Comics Club
Fall River Public Library 104 North Main St, Fall River, MACALLING ALL teenage COMICS ENTHUSIASTS!!!! Do you like comics? Graphics novels? Manga? Webcomics? Some other combination of pictures and words?? Then the Young Adult Comics Club is the place for you! The second Thursday of each month we meet to discuss all things comics - making, thinking, reading, sharing, etc. Share your favorite manga with peers! Show off the comic you’ve been making to other comic artists! Finally start that cool comic idea you’ve been meaning to draw! Learn what comics are all about!!! Each month we will have an optional comic prompt to make and share for the following meeting. Make us some words and pictures!! For teens ages 13 - 18.

Vernal Pool Explorer Hike
Copicut Woods Indian Town Rd., Fall River, United StatesWhat’s a vernal pool? During this family-friendly hike, you’ll learn about these ephemeral wonders and investigate how nature changes in the spring season. Vernal pool hikes are extra special at Copicut Woods, where you can look and listen for woodpeckers at field edges and warblers in the thickets. You’ll also wander along Shockley trail and, deeper into the woods, past brooks and giant boulders, rock outcrops, and cellar holes. Magnifying glasses and binoculars will be provided to best appreciate the wildflowers, tadpoles, and other signs of spring! This program is part of a three-part Vernal Pool Explorers series at Copicut Woods. Participants are welcome to attend any number of sessions—each program works as a standalone experience or can be paired with two or three for a deeper exploration. There is no requirement to attend all sessions. Part 1: Sunday, April 19Part 2: Sunday, May 17Part 3: Sunday, June 7 First time at Copicut? Middle Grade Book Club
Fall River Public Library 104 North Main St, Fall River, MAThe Children’s Room invites our middle grade readers (ages 8-12) to join our monthly book club! On the third Tuesday of every month, we will meet to discuss the assigned title which will be chosen from a selection of popular fiction and nonfiction. Copies of the assigned title will be provided for members to keep! Each month’s title and any related materials will be announced and distributed at the end of the previous session.

Fall River Public Library 104 North Main St, Fall River, MABoth returning and new members are invited to join us on the third Wednesday of each month for a different kind of book club--one with no required books to read! Instead, everyone can share their own recommendations of a book they're enjoyed recently as we meet for general book chat and afternoon tea. Light refreshments will be served. The Banned Book Club

Yard Sale Fundraiser for the Preservation Society of Fall Rver
New Boston Bakery 279 New Boston Road, Fall River, MA, United StatesThe Preservation Society of Fall River is holding its annual yard sale fundraiser on Saturday, May 30, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New Boston Bakery! Stop by to support the the Preservation Society's mission to preserve and promote the architecture and history of Fall River as well as support the creation of its future Underground Railroad Museum. New Boston Bakery will be open for the duration of the yard sale! If you have any items you'd like to donate to the yard sale, donations will be accepted the week before the event at New Boston Bakery during its normal business hours.
