Joan Osborne Sings the Songs of Bob Dylan
Narrows Center for the Arts 16 Anawan St., Fall River, MASaturday, December 5, 2026 $60 Advance | $63 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm In 2017, Grammy-nominated artist Joan Osborne released the critically acclaimed album, Songs of Bob Dylan. Her artistic and soulful reinterpretations of the selection of Dylan songs was an eye-opening moment in an already celebrated career. Eight years after milestone recording, Osborne released the stunning Dylanology Live on April 25th, 2025. The captivating recording finds the gifted vocalist performing in front of a live audience, with special guests Amy Helm, Robert Randolph and Jackie Greene. Songs include “Spanish Harlem Incident”, “Buckets Of Rain” “Masters Of War”, “Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here With You” and “High Water (For Charley Patton)”. Throughout her three-decade, multi-Grammy nominated career, Joan Osborne has never been an artist confined to one space as she continues to seamlessly blend into any genre. Her incredible and distinctive voice always shines through her own songs, while she has also become one of her generation’s finest interpreters. Dylanology Live is yet another testament to her artistic range.

Community Resource Day

Artists Share! is a place to share your creative work, get support and feedback, and be part of a wonderful discussion. Hosted by Midori Creativity, we're all about cross-pollination welcoming painters, jewelry makers, fiber artists, photographers, musicians, scultptors and more. Our exhibit, Creative Catalysts, celebrates the interplay and creative exploration that happens when artists of different genres work together. Anyone is welcome and we take turns sharing. Sometimes we are looking at a body of work and other times we are talking about creative identity. The group meets every month, aiming to help each other progress and grow in our work by sharing and exploring together. It's a chance to learn from people whose work may be different from your own but who have insights you could never imagine. We laugh, share ideas, and have fun! Participants can also attend via Zoom. The second Thursday of each month we meet to discuss all things comics - making, thinking, reading, sharing, etc. Share your favorite manga with peers! Show off the comic you’ve been making to other comic artists! Finally start that cool comic idea you’ve been meaning to draw! Learn what comics are all about!!! Narrows Center for the Arts 16 Anawan St., Fall River, MASaturday, December 12, 2026 $44 Advance | $46 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm Albert Cummings is an American blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose commanding guitar work and soulful vocals have made him a standout in the contemporary blues scene. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Cummings developed a deep passion for music at an early age, beginning on the banjo and bluegrass before being captivated by the electric blues influences of legends such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, and Jimi Hendrix. Although trained as a builder and master carpenter, Cummings’ musical path took shape with his first public blues performance in the late 1990s and his debut album, The Long Way, released independently in 2000 with his band Swamp Yankee. His dynamic fusion of blues, rock, and storytelling soon drew attention. When members of Vaughan’s former rhythm section—bass legend Tommy Shannon and drummer Chris Layton—volunteered to play on his 2003 solo debut From the Heart, the blues world took notice. Signing with the revered blues label Blind Pig Records, Cummings released albums such as True to Yourself (2004) and Working Man (2006), the latter cementing his reputation as a touring force and recording artist of significant range and impact.
