Greg Abate – A Tribute to Ray Charles

This new project is a tribute to Ray Charles and features Greg Abate with a stellar group performing music associated with Ray Charles. The group was captured live in concert at WGBH Jazz Boston, in a performance that is currently available on demand through WGBH. A CD of this historic live session is scheduled for release in 2027 on the Summit Records label. For Greg Abate, the recording brings his musical journey with Ray Charles full circle, preserving a live performance that celebrates the legacy of one of America’s greatest musical icons. A powerful bebop and post-bop stylist, Abate has established himself as one of the most respected alto saxophonists on the international jazz scene. Photography Group
Fall River Public Library 104 North Main St, Fall River, MAThe Fall River Public Library invites all photography enthusiasts to join our new Photography Group. On the last Wednesday of each month, participants will share their work, provide feedback, and join in open discussion about the wonderful art of photography! A monthly, optional theme will be picked at random to help inspire and prompt our members to make new and exciting work to share each session. Participants are asked to bring in a thumbdrive of their work, with a selection of 5-10 photos, if they intend to share with the group that month. While we gladly accept photographers at all stages of their journeys, the Photography Group does not offer photography lessons. We do encourage our participants to ask questions about photography, and to share tips and tricks they’ve learned with each other. This program is intended for photographers ages 13 and up.
