Hosted by Joanie's Place (a program of Balanced Learning Center) and sponsored by United Way of Greater Fall River, this event is free to attend and open to LGBQTIA+ and neurodivergent students in grades 7-12. This training is an important step toward creatives building a better business. This training has three sections: The first addresses banking services (except loans). The second covers financing options and sources available for creative small businesses. The third discusses how to avoid fraud and scams. After completing this module, the participants will be able to: Identify the banking services commonly available to a small business and explain how these services work. Identify the advantages and disadvantages of each of the banking services. Explain how small business owners decide which banking services are best for their business. Describe some benefits of building effective long-term relationships with a banker or lender. Describe the role of a personal credit score in the lending process. Explain the benefits of separating business and personal bank transactions This training session is presented by FRACC in partnership with Bristol County Savings Bank.
