Shine On 2026 is Community Nurse's signature annual fundraising event, bringing the community together for an unforgettable evening of music, laughter, and giving back. Join us on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Century House in Acushnet for live entertainment by The Flying Ivories Dueling Pianos, delicious appetizers and dessert, a wine pull, complimentary photo booth, silent auction, and an exclusive Portland Getaway Raffle, with only 100 tickets available for a chance to win a two-night stay in Portland, Maine. General admission is $85, and VIP tickets are $125 and include one complimentary drink ticket. This event is for guests 21 and older. Proceeds from Shine On support Community Nurse's mission of providing compassionate home healthcare, hospice, palliative care, and community support services to individuals and families throughout the South Coast. Get ready for the Great LumberJack AXE-Off at Stumpy’s Hatchet House Fall River on September 26! Two-person teams will compete in a preliminary seeding round followed by bracket-style play for a $500 cash prize. Registration is $50 per team, with a minimum of 12 and maximum of 16 teams. Competitors must be 18+ and register by September 19. Doors open at 10 a.m. Spectators ages 6+ are welcome for $10 at the door. Faneek’s Coney Island Hot Dogs will be on-site, with additional refreshments in the works!
