    CALLING ALL teenage COMICS ENTHUSIASTS!!!! Do you like comics? Graphics novels? Manga? Webcomics? Some other combination of pictures and words?? Then the Young Adult Comics Club is the place for you! The second Thursday of each month we meet to discuss all things comics - making, thinking, reading, sharing, etc. Share your favorite manga with peers! Show off the comic you’ve been making to other comic artists! Finally start that cool comic idea you’ve been meaning to draw! Learn what comics are all about!!! Each month we will have an optional comic prompt to make and share for the following meeting. Make us some words and pictures!! For teens ages 13 - 18.

Inspired by a time when the Blues were plentiful and rhythm reigned supreme, Jontavious leverages his unique sound—a synthesis of his Georgia heritage and reverence for traditional Blues—to get the world dancing again. A Grammy-nominated musician and songwriter, Jontavious performs original, toe-tapping tunes in the style of Delta, Piedmont, Texas, and Gospel Blues. Dynamic vocals, technical prowess, and an abundance of Southern charm keep Jontavious sending jolts of vitality through the Blues community. Jontavious was born and raised in rural Georgia, an environment with deep cultural roots that provides the inspiration he has continuously drawn upon to create his unique sound. He spent much of his childhood singing Gospel music at the Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church with his grandfather, which provided him his first setting to perform for an audience.     Open Draw for Teens provides a space in the library every other Saturday for teens to draw and socialize with other creative peers! Every session we will have ample time to free draw, and occasionally will host workshops on paper crafts like making zines, flipbooks, pop-up comics, as well as assorted drawing exercises. Bring your sketchbooks, drawing pads, loose paper, old magazines, your favorite pens and pencils… whatever it is you use to draw! Some basic materials will also be available to use each session. For teens ages 13 - 18.

    Saturday, August 15, 2026 $48 Advance | $50 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm The legendary Rhode Island multi-platinum rock'n'roll group JOHN CAFFERTY & THE BEAVER BROWN BAND began their career in 1973 and achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with the "Eddie & The Cruisers - Motion Picture Soundtrack". The hit single “ON THE DARK SIDE" held the “#1” position on the Billboard Rock charts and the MTV video charts for five consecutive weeks. The album sold over 3 million copies and was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA. The title track from the group's 1985 follow-up album “TOUGH ALL OVER” became their second “#1” single on the Billboard Rock charts and the song “C-I-T-Y” reached the Billboard Top 20.
