    The Greater Fall River Art Association has Kids Art workshops taught by Mr. Ernie. For kids ages 6-9 years old we have Saturday morning and Sunday morning options. For kids aged 10-12 years old we have one Saturday morning workshop. Sign up your little ones and watch them grow in art fundamentals! Maximum of 8 kids per session.     October 5, 2025 Brownie Craft & Tinker and Fling Flyer- Join us at Battleship Cove as we teach you about aerodynamics and how the science of flight has changed over the last 150 years. Girl Scouts will make their own fling flyer and determine if their invention can soar through the skies. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to create your own catapult and learn about mechanical engineering. Trial, error, and rebuilding are the key lessons to problem solving and crafting solutions! Open to Brownie Girl Scouts. Both the Brownie Craft and Tinker Badge, and the Brownie Mechanical Engineering: Fling Flyer Badge, are included. This does not include touring of the ship as this is an afterhours workshop.     October 10th - January 25th, 2025 Hours: Friday-Sunday, 12-5pm 44 Troy St, Fall River, MA Free & Open to the Public Featuring work by: Alex Tum, Karyn Nakamura, Serena Chang, and Hanna Umin.Post Scarcity Sculpture at FR MoCA gathers four artists—Alex Tum, Karyn Nakamura, Serena Chang, and Hanna Umin—whose practices operate as Futique Agents, working in the field of Art with material residue and technological detritus in a post-prophetic tense. Post Scarcity, the conceptual ground of the exhibition, names a politics that imagines an end to artificial scarcity enforced by capital, envisioning a condition where technological development and collective organization liberate human and non-human energies from cycles of deprivation.  In this exhibition, sculpture is redefined through soldered brass, cast plaster, resin, foam, computational circuits, video systems, and found refuse. The show centers a biomechanical site where the synaptic future and the industrial past converge. These objects function as future antiques, coded with fragments of war material, biological trace, and machinic residue, at once evidentiary and prophetic. Post Scarcity Sculpture frames these works as Futique Agents of a holistic informational shift, revealing how surplus, waste, and neural invention together constitute the emergent matter of social and aesthetic revolution.
