• Campfire Tales & Cocoa

    Fall River Public Library 104 North Main St, Fall River, MA

    Gather around the “campfire” on the library lawn for an evening of chilling tales and creepy stories read by your favorite library staff members! Adults can feel free to bring their comfiest folding chairs or blanket to relax on while listening to some truly frightening stories under the evening sky. Comfort cookies and cocoa will be provided to help steady your nerves as the evening’s terrifying tales unfold. In case of inclement weather, we'll gather in the meeting room.

  • 20th Annual Borden Light Marina Poker Run

    Twenty years ago, we hosted our very first Borden Light Marina Charity Poker Run. It has been an honor to host this event with participants from near and far who dedicate their heart and soul to making this a fun event where thousands of dollars have been raised for both local and national organizations. Boats will take off from under the Braga Bridge Saturday, August 1st at 12pm Donate: Venmo, @blmpokerrun All proceeds will be donated to Make-A-Wish Mass and RI and The Boys and Girls Club of Fall River

    In preparation for the 2026-2027, United Neighbors of Fall River and the Greater Fall River Haitian Committee are hosting a back to school celebration! Get your child ready for the new year by signing them up for a library card that they can use when the Bookmobile visits their school and at the Fall River Public Library! During this program, the Bookmobile will be open to the public for members of the community to check out some cool summer reads! Information will also be available on all of the activities and services offered by the Fall River Public Library!

  • Mad Science Presents: Dinosaurs!

    Fall River Public Library 104 North Main St, Fall River, MA

    Join the mad professors of the Mad Science team for this exciting exploration into the world of dinosaurs!  There is so much for kids to discover about these prehistoric wonders including: How big were the tallest dinosaurs? Who were the meat-eaters and who preferred plants? Children will also learn about how ancient fossils were formed and more!  Budding paleontologists will also make a casting of a tyrannosaurus tooth to take home! Space and supplies are limited so registration for this program is required.  Parents may register by contacting the Children's Room at 508-324-2700 beginning Monday, July 27. Recommended for ages 6 and up.
