What is (was) the Quequechan River?
Quequechan River is a body of water running East to West, connecting the Watuppa Pond to the Taunton River. The Quequechan was one of the main reasons for Fall River’s powerful growth in the 19th century, as factories harnessed the river’s powerful waters for industrial purposes. The Quequechan River has been changed and partially covered over the course of the last several centuries due to the growth of industry in Fall River.
