  • David Nail

Narrows Center for the Arts 16 Anawan St., Fall River, MA

Friday, March 6, 2026 $36 Advance | $38 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm Hailing from Kennett, Missouri, David Nail is well-respected up and down Music Row. Some might even call him a “tour de force” as his songs pull no punches in evoking the demons with which he has wrestled through much of his life. The GRAMMY-nominated multi-platinum singer/songwriter’s early releases, I’m About To Come Alive, The Sound Of A Million Dreams, I’m A Fire and Fighter, ignited his reputation as an innovator and creative risk-taker yet left Nail feeling restless. This led to the departure of the only record company home he’d ever known, MCA Nashville, where he’d formed friendships that endure even now. Through dealing with his own journey of mental health and the feeling of needing to “rebel against what people expect you to be,” Nail began making his most “organic” work to date, David Nail & The Well Ravens, with Jason Hall and Andrew Petroff. That project liberated Nail and propelled him into his next adventure. Writing solo for the next few months led to his debut solo independent EP Oh, Mother, a reflective piece of work. Of the title track, Rolling Stone noted that “the song creeps in like a […]

  • Tarbox Ramblers

Narrows Center for the Arts 16 Anawan St., Fall River, MA

Saturday, March 7, 2026 $30 Advance | $32 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm Taking listeners to a place where rock, backwater blues and Appalachian music come together in unexpected combinations, The Tarbox Ramblers have drawn praise from The New Yorker and Rolling Stone to All Things Considered. The Washington Post calls them “a force of nature.” Robert Plant saw the band play and recruited them, on the spot, to open a string of concert dates for him. The Ramblers’ repertoire reaches way back, to the earliest recordings of what people now call Americana. Their approach is reverent, but only in the sense that they love the old songs. Beyond that, they play them as a roadhouse band of the 1950s might have, as songs band members all heard growing up, but were reinventing with drums and electricity. They’ve got the spirit of Memphis in their veins, and it makes for thrilling listening. The Tarbox Ramblers’ sound is fueled by Michael Tarbox’s tough-as-Texas-barbwire guitar, Dan Keller’s virtuoso violin and the hard-hitting rhythm section of rockabilly string bassist Johnny Sciascia (pronounced “sha-sha”) and Jon Cohan on New Orleans parade drums. Tarbox’s unmistakable voice is right up front, with Keller and Sciascia […]
