Join us for Ride to Freedom: A Revolutionary Family Celebration

Mar 21, 2026 | Fall River History, Press, Visit

This spring, Fall River invites families to experience history in motion. Ride to Freedom: A Revolutionary Family Celebration brings together storytelling, hands-on activities, and live reenactments to mark the spirit of Paul Revere’s midnight ride—right here in the Spindle City.

Designed for all ages, this event transforms a day out into an interactive journey through the Revolutionary era, where kids can explore, create, and imagine what life was like in 1775.

Where History Comes to Life

Step into the past with immersive experiences that go beyond observation. Visitors will encounter costumed interpreters, explore colonial tools and trades, and witness Paul Revere’d revolutionary ride…on the carousel! These moments bring history off the page and into real life.

The “Ride” That Sparks It All

At the heart of the celebration is a live reenactment inspired by Paul Revere’s ride, creating a powerful moment that connects local families to a defining chapter in American history.

Part of a Bigger Story

As Massachusetts begins commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, Ride to Freedom offers a local way to connect with this milestone. It’s a reminder that these stories didn’t just happen elsewhere—they’re part of the fabric of communities like Fall River, too.
