On Saturday, May 9, 2026, West Bay RI invites you to be part of Strides for Independence at Goddard Memorial State Park — a day that brings people together to create opportunities, strengthen connections and celebrate what is possible when people support people.

This year’s theme — Ten Walks. One Community. Endless Possibilities. — reflects the collective impact of every step taken over the years and the growing momentum of a community committed to inclusion, belonging and meaningful lives.

Strides for Independence fuels opportunities that go beyond traditional funding — creating access to community experiences, skill development, employment pathways and spaces where people can contribute, connect and thrive.
