Messiah Sing

The “Messiah Sing” is an informal performance in which the audience, unrehearsed, serves as a chorus in support of our professional orchestra musicians and chorus.
The tradition began among the amateur choral societies of early 19th-century England. Because Messiah was specifically composed to need only a few rehearsals, it was ideal for non-professional choruses.
“Messiah Sings are a holiday tradition around the world — and they’re a tradition In its 6th year here at First Congregational Church,” says Rev Andy Stinson. Judith Conrad our minister of music will be conducting the Sing-It-Yourself Messiah for the sixth time. “So I’m excited to welcome the community back to this very beloved event. that happens each year on Epiphany Sunday”
