FRACC Murals: Tide Portal Unveiling

Come check out the fresh new waterfront mural of Fall River!
Fall River Arts & Culture Coalition (FRACC) invites the public, community partners, donors, and members of the media to attend the official unveiling of Tide Portal on Wedneday, August 19th at 4PM. The mural is located on the Davol Street overpass across from The Cove Restaurant (392 Davol Street).
The celebration will feature live music, refreshments, remarks from community leaders, and opportunities to engage directly with the artist and project partners.
Event Program
- Welcome gathering with music, light refreshments, and informational displays about the mural’s development
- Opening remarks from FRACC leadership highlighting the organization’s mission and the project’s origins
- Recognition of partners, including artist Lena McCarthy and assistant, Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Asphalt Art Initiative, Sunrise Erectors, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, the City of Fall River, and community volunteers
- Artist remarks sharing inspiration, design process, and community engagement
- Community impact reflections from local leaders on public art and neighborhood revitalization
- Official unveiling of Tide Portal, including a countdown and ceremonial reveal
- Post-unveiling photos, networking, and media opportunities
