Join Children's Room staff for a fun morning of stories! Each storytime includes 30 minutes of stories from popular children's books followed by a short literacy-based movie and an easy-to-make craft. Introduce your preschooler to the exciting world of children's literature! Recommended for ages 3 to 5.
It will be PAW Patrol to the rescue when members, Chase, Martial and Sky, visit the library's front lawn for this very special meet & greet event! Come say hello, give a high-five and take a picture with these popular pups! Coloring sheets will also be available for children. For all ages.
Our monthly Magic: the Gathering group meets on the last Wednesday of each month.* Come play a few games in the world's most popular trading card game! Participants are invited to bring their own decks or build their own with a selection of the hundreds of cards we have at the library. Don't know how to play? We'll be glad to show you how! This program is intended for teens ages 12 to 18. No prior experience with the game is required to participate. We'll be meeting in the Fell Reading Room in the library. *If the last Wednesday of the month falls on a holiday, the meetup will be rescheduled, probably to the week before. Please check our calendar to be sure.
The Fall River Public Library invites all photography enthusiasts to join our new Photography Group. On the last Wednesday of each month, participants will share their work, provide feedback, and join in open discussion about the wonderful art of photography! A monthly, optional theme will be picked at random to help inspire and prompt our members to make new and exciting work to share each session. Participants are asked to bring in a thumbdrive of their work, with a selection of 5-10 photos, if they intend to share with the group that month. While we gladly accept photographers at all stages of their journeys, the Photography Group does not offer photography lessons. We do encourage our participants to ask questions about photography, and to share tips and tricks they’ve learned with each other. This program is intended for photographers ages 13 and up.

Do you like to knit or crochet? Come join a group of fellow crafters - just bring your yarn, needles, and yourself. It's a great way to make friends, share patterns and tips, and make progress on your projects. Beginners are welcome and no registration is required.
Gather around the “campfire” on the library lawn for an evening of chilling tales and creepy stories read by your favorite library staff members! Adults can feel free to bring their comfiest folding chairs or blanket to relax on while listening to some truly frightening stories under the evening sky. Comfort cookies and cocoa will be provided to help steady your nerves as the evening’s terrifying tales unfold. In case of inclement weather, we'll gather in the meeting room.
join us for a magical family concert of music, movement and more with Elijah T. Grasshopper! Fun, interactive songs are Elijah's specialty so get ready to jump, dance about! Open Draw for Teens provides a space in the library every other Saturday for teens to draw and socialize with other creative peers! Every session we will have ample time to free draw, and occasionally will host workshops on paper crafts like making zines, flipbooks, pop-up comics, as well as assorted drawing exercises. Bring your sketchbooks, drawing pads, loose paper, old magazines, your favorite pens and pencils… whatever it is you use to draw! Some basic materials will also be available to use each session. For teens ages 13 - 18.
Every two weeks, join the library and several community partners for our community resource day! Organizations will be on hand to provide information and assistance for various community needs such as healthcare, homelessness, immigration, mental health issues, food insecurity, and more. This event is open to all members of the public and no registration is required.
Learning to speak English can be a challenge. Come practice with us in the Nagle Room. Join our English Conversation Club and practice your speaking and listening skills. Beginners are welcome to join!
