American Eden: The Olmsted Parks of Fall River

Kennedy Pavilion Park South Main Street, Fall River, MA, United States

The legendary Frederick Law Olmsted, designer of New York’s Central Park as well as green spaces across the nation, and his sons created a vision of the American park that is still with us today. A visionary, Olmsted worked with native plants and grand vistas in the creation of masterpieces of landscape design. Award-winning architectural and landscape historian, John Tschirch, tells the tale of Olmsted’s rise to fame and his legacy carried on by his sons, John and Frederick, in their extraordinary parks in Fall River. This event will take place at the Kennedy Park Pavilion and is free to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
