Macrame Plant Hanger Workshop with Hang On Design


Learn to make your own plant hangers in this beginner macrame class. At the end of the night you will leave with a fun new plant hanger! In this workshop, instructor Leah MacDonald will lead as you learn:

  • To begin a macrame piece, including an overview of necessary materials.
  • To incorporate either a wooden or steel ring and the benefit of each.
  • To work a variety of macrame knots.
  • To continue creating your own special pieces once you leave the workshop.

$20 class fee includes instruction and all the necessary supplies and materials.

Feel free you bring a pot as well as a plant you might want to use, to work with. Not a necessity, so no worries if you don’t bring anything. Only 8 tickets available so sign up now!

February “Meet the Makers” – Nata Throwdown Tasting Event!

Join us and show some love for the Fall River bakeries competing in the “Pasteis da Nata Throwdown” in February!

This is a friendly competition between Fall River and New Bedford participating bakeries, and the main goal is to help spread awareness of ALL the great bakeries, cafes, and markets in both cities! No matter who wins, we ALL win!

Stop by and taste entries from 6 bakeries and also enjoy an expanded selection of cold brew coffee and tea for sale from Fall River-based Mission Cold Brew Co.! We’ll also be offering to-go bags!

The event is free to attend but please indicate your interest on this page so we can make sure we have enough natas to go around!

Make & Take Polymer Clay DIY Earring Bar with Jesi’s Jewels

Jesi’s Jewels will walk you through the all-new DIY earring bar at the Viva Pop Up Shop! This is a fun and EASY way to create unique, lightweight earrings while learning basic assembly techniques- without any fuss!

Beginning at 6:30PM, you can stop by the Viva Pop Up Shop and make your beauties! Latest entry time is 7:45 in order to have time to finish designing!

Attendees will create two pairs of polymer clay earrings (additional pairs can be made for $10 each). Polymer clay pieces are pre-baked and sanded- you choose your colors, shapes, styles and findings, drill them, (Jes will teach you!) and assemble them to your liking! These make a great accessory for yourself or to give as a gift!

Earrings can be made with gold or silver plated ear wires, stainless steel, or even plastic! There will be a PLETHORA of colors, patterns, and textures to choose from!.

Tuesday, February 21st – 6:00 – 8:30PM
Watercolor Flowers for Beginners with The Wandering Brush


Have you always loved the beauty and magic of watercolor but intimidated to paint? Classes and workshops designed by Lana Quann of The Wandering Brush bring fun and inspiration to life as you play with a variety of artist grade tools, learn several methods step by step and create YOUR very own unique piece of art.

This class will explore making an 8 x 10 loose poppy with a flowy, abstract background. We will learn a variety of methods and tricks. We will also take a short time to play with Brush0 crystals, inks and paints to create some vibrantly colored cards for gifting.
Head down to Viva Fall River Pop Up shop, BYOB (beverages and snacks available at the shop for purchase as well) bring your favorite people or make new friends.

$40 ticket fee includes all materials. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we start promptly, and everyone is set up for a successful night.

Beginner Jewelry Making Workshop with Jesi’s Jewels

In this beginner class, learn how to manipulate jewelry pliers, cutters, etc and learn how to assemble and design earrings using headpins, eye pins, bead caps, ear hooks, and more! You’ll choose from a HUGE selection of beads and findings to create something you love!

Ticket cost covers 2 pairs of earrings, or a pair of earrings and a pendant or bracelet.
