DESCRIPTION:Poetry on the beach! Join us for a poetic adventure. Getting there is half the fun! \n\n\n\n\nCome read a poem of your own creation OR a poem/excerpt of your favorite author (~5 minutes in length). \nBring your portable poetry & meet at the Westport Town Beach/Cherry & Webb parking lot. It is approximately a 1 mile walk each way along beautiful Horseneck Beach. \nDon’t have a Westport Beach Sticker? Email us to be picked up at 10:45am at Lee’s Market (park in back by the gazebo). \nDon’t forget a towel or blanket to relax on\, and a sun hat & sunscreen! \nAlternatively\, you may launch your paddleboard\, kayak\, or other small watercraft from a location of your choosing and meet us there! Shallow draft dinghies/motorboats can also be beached/anchored at the picnic site. The event is scheduled to begin with the outgoing tide & end with the incoming tide.

Inspired by a time when the Blues were plentiful and rhythm reigned supreme\, Jontavious leverages his unique sound—a synthesis of his Georgia heritage and reverence for traditional Blues—to get the world dancing again. A Grammy-nominated musician and songwriter\, Jontavious performs original\, toe-tapping tunes in the style of Delta\, Piedmont\, Texas\, and Gospel Blues.
