SUMMARY:Photography Group
DESCRIPTION:The Fall River Public Library invites all photography enthusiasts to join our new Photography Group. \n\n\n\nOn the last Wednesday of each month\, participants will share their work\, provide feedback\, and join in open discussion about the wonderful art of photography! A monthly\, optional theme will be picked at random to help inspire and prompt our members to make new and exciting work to share each session. Participants are asked to bring in a thumbdrive of their work\, with a selection of 5-10 photos\, if they intend to share with the group that month. \n\n\n\nWhile we gladly accept photographers at all stages of their journeys\, the Photography Group does not offer photography lessons. We do encourage our participants to ask questions about photography\, and to share tips and tricks they’ve learned with each other. \n\n\n\nThis program is intended for photographers ages 13 and up.

DESCRIPTION:The students will use simple materials to quickly learn their way around the skies. A scale model of the planets will demonstrate the different relative sizes of the planets in our galaxy. A comet will be created before their very eyes. They will get the opportunity to see what happens when meteorites strike the earth or other planets. A demonstration will uncover how stars can actually produce the raw material that is the basis of all life on earth. Space is limited; please call the children’s room to register.
