SUMMARY:Tommy Castro & The Painkillers
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, April 23\, 2026\n$36 Advance | $38 Day of Show\n[all-in pricing\, no additional fees]\nDoors 7pm | Show 8pm \nMultiple award-winning guitarist\, vocalist\, and bandleader Tommy Castro is a California-based blues and rock powerhouse. For over four decades\, he’s captivated audiences with his soul-drenched vocals\, searing guitar work\, and high-energy live shows. As frontman of the telepathically tight and wildly raucous Tommy Castro & The Painkillers\, he’s released 17 albums that span a wide stylistic range—from horn-driven R&B and hot-blooded soul to gritty\, stripped-down rock and electric blues.\n\nWith his latest and eighth Alligator Records release\, Closer To The Bone\, Castro returns to his roots\, delivering what he calls “a real blues record\, the way they would have made them back in the day.” Produced by guitar master Christoffer “Kid” Andersen at San Jose’s Greaseland Studio\, the album is Castro’s rawest and most direct blues effort to date. \nThe album features standout originals like Ain’t Worth The Heartache\, Can’t Catch A Break\, and Crazy Woman Blues\, alongside deep-cut covers of songs by Castro’s friends and influences—Johnny Nitro\, Magic Slim\, Ron Thompson\, Chris Cain\, and more. Guest appearances include Rick Estrin\, Billy Branch\, Deanna Bogart\, Chris Cain\, Jim Pugh\, and gospel harmonies from The Sons Of The Soul Revivers. \nBorn in San Jose in 1955\, Castro picked up the guitar at age 10 and was inspired by icons like Elvin Bishop\, Taj Mahal\, and Mike Bloomfield. He absorbed everything from Ike & Tina Turner to John Lee Hooker and Buddy Guy\, developing a uniquely uplifting and soulful style rooted in blues\, R&B\, and funk. After early stints with Bay Area bands including NiteCry and The Dynatones\, Castro formed the first Tommy Castro Band in 1992. \nCastro’s career took off when his band became the house band on NBC’s Comedy Showcase\, airing after Saturday Night Live. He soon built a reputation as a must-see live act\, touring relentlessly and releasing acclaimed albums with Blind Pig\, Telarc\, 33rd Street\, and eventually Alligator Records\, where his 2009 debut Hard Believer marked a new chapter of critical and commercial success. \nNotable releases include The Devil You Know (2014)\, Stompin’ Ground (2017)\, Killin’ It – Live (2019)\, and A Bluesman Came To Town (2021)\, which AllMusic hailed as “a towering achievement.” \nCastro is one of the most decorated artists in contemporary blues\, winning 10 Blues Music Awards\, including four B.B. King Entertainer of the Year honors—the genre’s highest accolade. His no-frills\, 150-shows-a-year approach has earned him a fiercely loyal fanbase and praise from legends like Joe Bonamassa\, who says\, “Tommy has always been top of the heap among blues guitar players. He always puts on a great show.” \nWith Closer To The Bone\, Tommy Castro strips it all back to deliver an album brimming with grit\, fire\, and authenticity. “This is the deeper blues side of me\,” says Castro. “With these songs\, I am at my most authentic.”

SUMMARY:Chunky Knit Blanket Party
DESCRIPTION:Chunky knit blankets are all the rage lately and you’ll be surprised how easy they are to make! The hand knitting technique is a life long skill that is therapeutic\, meditative and fun. \n\n\n\nNEW: You may now choose your yarn amount! Are you coming just to learn the technique and only want one skein to practice on? We’ve got you! For blanket making\, please view the photo below to see a rough estimate of what a blanket using 4 skeins (standard) looks like\, 5 skeins\, 6 skeins…etc. DISCLAIMER: Final blanket dimensions vary based on each individual’s knitting gauge (ie.\, if you knit tight\, your blanket will be smaller and more compact than someone who knits looser). \n\n\n\nTable space diminishes as blankets get larger. You are welcome to bring a small pillow or yoga mat to sit on\, should you choose to move to the floor for more space as your blanket gets taller. \n\n\n\nBags will not be provided. If you don’t wish carry your project\, we encourage you to bring a large tote to carry your blanket and any working yarn home in. \n\n\n\nWe will be in touch a few days prior to the event to share our color options. There will be at least 3 colors to choose from\, including neutrals! \n\n\n\nCANCELLATION POLICY: Due to inventory and limited spacing\, we are unable to issue full refunds. SUMMARY:Ryan Montbleau Band
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, April 18\, 2026\n$52 Advance | $55 Day of Show\n[all-in pricing\, no additional fees]\nDoors 7pm | Show 8pm\n\nA relentless road warrior and masterful wordsmith\, Ryan Montbleau has spent the better part of thirty years cultivating a devoted audience on the strength of his ecstatic live shows and exhilarating sonic versatility. He’s collaborated with artists as diverse as Trombone Shorty\, Galactic\, Steel Pulse\, Tall Heights\, Martin Sexton\, Anders Osborne\, and George Porter\, Jr; shared bills with the likes of Tedeschi Trucks Band\, Ani DiFranco\, Todd Snider\, The Wood Brothers\, Rodrigo y Gabriela\, and Mavis Staples; and racked up more than 150 million streams on Spotify alone. NPR’s Mountain Stage compared his “eloquent\, soulful songwriting” to Bill Withers and James Taylor\, while Relix celebrated his “poetic Americana\,” and The Boston Herald raved that “he’s made a career of confident\, danceable positivity.”\nMontbleau’s freewheeling new album finds him exploring the full spectrum of his influences like never before\, touching on folk\, rock\, funk\, soul\, hip-hop\, and reggae\, all with a preternatural ease that belies the intensely focused craftsmanship behind it. The songs are sprawling and unpredictable\, grappling with a modern world perpetually teetering on the edge of chaos\, but the performances are relentlessly optimistic\, insisting on hope and joy in the face of it all. The result is Montbleau’s most vulnerable and cathartic work yet\, an album that acknowledges the inevitability of doubt and pain while at the same time celebrating our limitless capacity for growth and love.
