DESCRIPTION:Life in the Sea plunges children into the depths of ocean life. Children explore different ocean ecosystems and learn about the plants and animals that live there. Classifying creatures from sharks to sponges gives them a taste of ocean diversity. In Whales to Scale\, they compare shark and whale teeth\, and measure the size of these incredible predators. Hands-on activities teach the interconnectedness of an ocean food web\, and the consequences of overfishing. The Anaglyph Sea Puzzle Take-Home lets children take some 3-D sea creatures home with them. Space is limited; call the children’s room to register.

DESCRIPTION:The Fall River Public Library invites all photography enthusiasts to join our new Photography Group. \n\n\n\nOn the last Wednesday of each month\, participants will share their work\, provide feedback\, and join in open discussion about the wonderful art of photography! A monthly\, optional theme will be picked at random to help inspire and prompt our members to make new and exciting work to share each session. Participants are asked to bring in a thumbdrive of their work\, with a selection of 5-10 photos\, if they intend to share with the group that month. \n\n\n\nWhile we gladly accept photographers at all stages of their journeys\, the Photography Group does not offer photography lessons. We do encourage our participants to ask questions about photography\, and to share tips and tricks they’ve learned with each other. \n\n\n\nThis program is intended for photographers ages 13 and up.
