Doodles & Comics Workshop

If you are interested in comics, drawing, and telling stories with pictures, the Doodle & Comics Workshop with Cara Bean might be just your thing. The workshop is a basic introduction on how to generate ideas, develop simple storylines, and create characters. Learn easy doodling exercises to help you generate ideas and more. Recommended for children ages 8 to 12. As space and materials are limited, children are required to preregister for this event. Kick off your sewing journey with Apparel Technical Designer & owner of JAM Sewing Academy, Julia Medeiros. This 5-week course will teach you all you need to know about sewing on a machine. It will cover machine threading, different stitches and seams, and how to master a clean straight stitch and seam. It will also go through how to make a tote bag step-by-by step starting with pattern reading and fabric cutting. (Adults and ages 12+ are welcome - special consideration wil be given to children under the age of 12 if they attend with a parent/guardian).

Thursday, May 2, 2024 $33 Advance | $35 Day of Show Doors 7pm | Show 8pm Everything Is Alive, Darlingside’s fourth LP, marks a subtle but remarkable departure for the Boston-based quartet NPR once described as “exquisitely arranged, literary minded, baroque folk-pop.” While the album retains much of the lushness and sophistication of Extralife (2018) and Fish Pond Fish (2020), the band’s latest work decisively exposes and differentiates the individual voices of the four songwriters—a daring reinvention for a group known for ubiquitous vocal harmonies. Grappling with change both personal and universal, with quandaries domestic and existential, Everything Is Alive is an album about loss and the struggle for a semblance of redemption.
