Royal Readers

March 27 @ 4:00 pm 5:00 pm

We are thrilled to celebrate Women’s History Month and honor the incredible achievements of women throughout history.๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿš€We’re kicking things off by diving into “She Was the First! The Trailblazing Life of Shirley Chisholm” by Katheryn Russell-Brown, a captivating read about the first Black woman to run for president and serve in Congress. Her legacy and achievements continue to inspire us today, and we can’t wait to share her story with you.

๐Ÿ“šRoyal Readers is a youth-Led reading program that encourages youth to express themselves, promote diversity, build confidence and foster a love of reading and learning.

Youth readers listen to stories from their peers and engage in interactive activities to build social skills. Youth participants can sign up to be the featured reader for the following month.

The program is also an opportunity for families to meet others from the community, chat and get to know each other.

This event is free and open to the public
